Many believed that since every thing is available on the Internet, the traditional print medium would find it hard to survive as readers would prefer reading e-editions, rather than buying reams of newsprint for their reading needs.
However, nothing of the sort has materialized yet. On the contrary, many new print editions of dailies and magazines were launched in the past few years and still more are expected to be launched in the future. But the process of placing any kind of advertisement in a newspaper in India still remains a laborious and time consuming task.
Probably with an intention to fill this vacuum, AdvertisementIndia.com, an online venture of Lucknow-based WYSIWYG Advertising, has launched an interactive ad web portal. The portal strives to make the tedious task of placing advertisements, simple and easy with a mouse click.
The new ad portal offers interactive services for placing ads in news papers and dailies across India with the use of Internet. "One can easily fill-up an online form with some specifications as per their advertisement needs and choice of newspaper for placing the ads. Following submission of the online form, the portal staff helps design the ads and the client pays for the service accordingly," informed Gaurav Dhingra, Director-IT of AdvertisementIndia.com.
This interactive web portal took about 3-4 months in building, before it was live on the Internet. "We had assessed many existing newspaper portals, but these portals offered limited solutions. For instance the Times of India portal won't allow placing ad in other newspapers and so forth. So we had to build a site that can compete with the existing ones and also can have an edge over them," added Dhingra who is also the CEO cum web strategist of DigitallyDefined, a web designing and development company based in New Delhi.
"Our web portal allows easy placement of ads in any newspaper in India as well as abroad. Along with this we also offer free ad designing and ad solutions to the people as per their budgets," informed Roopesh Agrawal, director and creative head of AdvertismentIndia.com.
"We are in this advertisement business for the past many years. And it was a simple idea about how one can place any type of ads in any newspaper that is circulated in other regions," added Agrawal. |
